CLUB NEWS: Not Quite Dead

This is your okashira *Elle-H, previously known as ~dragonflyblues. I regret neglecting this club for so long. The long stretches of inactivity in the gallery and among members caused me to loose my enthusiasm, and I ceased to log in all together. That was irresponsible of me, and I apologize deeply to all of you.

However! There is still some intrest in this little club of ours, so I simply cannot abandon you! "How could I, the Okashira abandon my own men?" (The first person to comment telling what volume of the manga that quote comes from gets a free sketch by me. Seriously. It's a contest.) As long as some of you remain, so shall I.

On that note, we have a new member who has gone through an unnecessarily long wait through the joining process: . We are happy to have her... if she'll still have us .

Also *LeahHimura24 has submitted two new devs to the gallery, including a Rurouni Kenshin art meme! ( [link] ) If you use one of the Oniwabanshuu members to complete the meme, I will feature it here in a special journal entry. I'm working on mine, so get started!

Because this is a (in one sense, at least) brand-new club, I'd like to explain what to expect. When you join this club you become an agent of the infamous ninja group, the Oniwabanshuu. As a member, you can add to the gallery, participate in competitions, and be prepared for.... warfare?! (Information regarding this subject is currently classified.)

But. None of this can be accomplished until we have more members. So agents, begin recruting! We'll take any able bodied warriors, spies, or artsy Oniwabanshuu fans.

Also, the gallery is sadly barren. Submissions anyone?

Joining the Oniwabanshuu

Send a note to Edo-Spies requesting membership.
Requirements:

• Watch this club.


• Place Edo-Spies' icon in your journal, and/or include a link in your signature.


Upon completeing all the requirements, the acting Okashira will place you on the official roster. If you do not recieve verification within a week, please resend your note.

Any kind of drawing, painting, fanfiction, peotry, wallpaper, comic ect., featuring Rurouni Kenshin's Oniwabanshuu is welcome!

Rules for Submissions:


• Must include the Oniwabanshuu characters somehow! (duh.)


• Do not send anything that would break deviantART's rules.


• Do not send stolen art. If I discover your art is stolen, it will be immediately removed from the gallery and you will be banned from the club.


• Please do not send anything that includes mature-content. (So if you feel compelled to check the box saying "contains mature-content" during the submission process, it probubly is not appropriate for the club.) This club is friendly to all ages, I'd like to keep it that way ; ).
